I am a native Angeleno and a first-generation Mexican American. My artistic journey began in 1998, and for 13 years, I dedicated myself to a series called Little Girls—portraits of female silhouettes on 4x6 canvas and wood slats. As the series concluded, I spent two years exploring new styles and mediums, including photography, collage, and digital art.

In 2013, my work took a transformative turn after reading an Alexander McQueen biography, where he described himself not as a black sheep, but as a pink sheep. This idea of embracing one’s uniqueness sparked the creation of my series SHEÆŽP. Spanning street art, photography, installations, and an eight-year-long dream project, SHEÆŽP has grown into a body of work with nearly 1,000 unique characters.

Over the years, I’ve participated in numerous group exhibitions and held four solo shows. My 2022 solo exhibition at Wallspace Gallery was a milestone, allowing me to create an immersive art experience inspired by a deep sense of freedom. In 2023, I painted my autobiography and completed 365 works of art on 18x18 paper.

At its core, my work is feel-good art—an expression of joy that celebrates individuality. I believe being different is beautiful, and in fact, it’s our superpower. Though this realization came later in my life, I feel incredibly fortunate to be creating the work I was meant to make. Sharing this joy with others is my greatest privilege.
